Child Safety Policy for Hirdle
Last revised on May 12, 2025
At Hirdle, the safety and well-being of all users, especially minors, is a top priority. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of child protection and comply fully with Google’s Developer Program Policies and all applicable child safety laws.
1. Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Prevention
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE). This includes:
Immediate removal and reporting of any child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Proactive monitoring using automated tools and moderation to detect and prevent abusive behavior.
Permanent banning of accounts found to engage in or promote CSAE.
2. Reporting and In-App Feedback Mechanism
Users can report inappropriate behavior, abusive content, or suspected exploitation directly through the in-app "Report" or "Flag" feature. All reports are promptly reviewed by our moderation team, and appropriate action is taken, including content removal and notification to relevant authorities where necessary.
3. CSAM Detection and Removal
Our App uses a combination of automated tools and human review to identify, remove, and report CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other legal authorities, in accordance with applicable laws.
4. Legal Compliance
We comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws regarding child safety and digital protection of minors, including but not limited to COPPA, GDPR-K, and other regional regulations.
5. Child Safety Contact
If you have a concern or inquiry related to child safety, you can reach our dedicated point of contact at:

Subject line: Child Safety Concern
6. Age-Appropriate Content
Our App is intended for users aged [13+/16+/18+ – adjust as appropriate]. We enforce age verification measures and restrict access to features and content based on user age. Any inappropriate content targeting minors is strictly prohibited.
7. Parental Controls and Supervision
We support and encourage the use of Google’s Family Link and other parental control tools to help parents manage their child’s digital experience. We also provide tips and resources to parents for monitoring online activity.
8. Sensitive Content Warnings
We support sensitive content warnings and labeling within our app. Content flagged as potentially disturbing or explicit will be hidden by default for users under 18 and can only be accessed with parental approval if applicable.
9. Age Estimation and Verification
To enhance safety, we may use machine learning models or other methods to estimate a user's age and tailor the experience accordingly. This helps us provide a safer, age-appropriate environment for all users.
10. Data Collection and Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal data from users under the age of consent without verified parental consent. All data practices are outlined in our Privacy Policy, and we adhere strictly to data minimization and protection standards.
Parental Guidance
We encourage parents and guardians to actively supervise their child’s use of our App and engage in ongoing conversations about safe and responsible digital behavior.
